Biography

We first elected Steve Ross to be our neighborhood representative to City Hall in 2005. As our Ward 6 City Councilman, Steve has built a reputation for being accessible, a good listener, and taking action on our behalf.

Steve has deep roots in Ward 6. He attended school here, and he and his wife Kelli raised five children in Ward 6. Now grandparents themselves, Steve and Kelli enjoy having Steve’s 97 year-old grandmother live with them.

With Steve’s long residency in this part of town comes his deep involvement in our community. From youth sports to scouting, to leadership in his church and leadership in his union, to his involvement in local charities, Steve Ross is an established leader for our neighborhoods.

As a family man, Steve puts public safety as his first priority. His close work with neighborhood leaders and our local police have kept the crime rate in Ward 6 among the lowest in the City of Las Vegas. That’s also why our police officers have endorsed Steve Ross for re-election.

In his first term, Steve Ross worked hard for us. Improvements such as two new fire stations in Ward 6, the new recreation and active adult facilities, and improved roads are adding to our quality of life.

That’s Steve Ross: a long-time resident, always active in his community, and working hard on our behalf. Steve Ross is a strong independent voice for us.
